Here's an alternative way of streaming pictures, music and video direct to your Xbox 360 without having to install the Media Centre Edition.

According to 360Era.com's news piece, "The new Media Sharing feature of Windows Media Player 11 lets you enjoy the contents of your Windows Media Player library from anywhere in your home." All that you would need is a home network (wired or wireless), and on your Xbox 360, you can then use Windows Media Player to stream music,  pictures and videos from your computer to this device. The same goes for other digital media receivers (DMR). This also works for music that you've downloaded from PlaysForSure music stores and services.
