Class3's zombies will also come in many variations. There are slow ones and there are fast ones. One variant in particular is known as a "screamer". As the name suggests, this particular zombie emits a loud noise to attract other zombies. If you want to be stealthy, it's going to be a good idea to get rid of these guys first.
Don't expect any outlandish zombie types, though. As the post puts it, you can't just "take any random monster, slap a rotting flesh texture on it and call it a zombie". All of the zombies in Class3 and Class4 will be rooted in the more grounded notions of what a zombie is, so there probably won't be any werewolf zombies or things like that.

As for killing them, the good old "aim for the head" technique will suffice but players will also be free to come up with their own unique ways of getting rid of zombies. Based on the post, it seems players can choose to just slice off a zombie's legs to allow for a quick escape. Blowing them to tiny bits should work too.
Since players are free to build and upgrade their own headquarters, crafting will of course play a part. Vehicle customization has been mentioned as well. Players will be able to trade with others too, but Class3's system of commerce will most likely not be built around present-day money.
When Class4 rolls outs, it will further refine Class3's gameplay mechanics and features. There will be more weapons, more enemy types, and vehicles. Undead Labs also says that Class4 will "revise and expand" such mechanics as weather and tech research, so presumably those will be in Class3 as well albeit on a simpler scale.
