Ubisoft: Rainbow Six Vegas Not Coming to Wii

Despite a 'leaked' Ubisoft release schedule which we reported in March, Ubisoft representatives have contacted IGN to tell them that Tom Clancy's next-generation Rainbow Six: Vegas outing is not in development for Nintendo's Wii console. The Ubisoft representative said, "Rainbow Six Vegas has been announced and is currently being developed for the Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 platforms, and is not in development for any other consoles at this time." This is bad news for prospective Wii owners, the most sophisticated tactical shoot 'em up out today will not be coming to the Wii - or will it?

When asked whether an alternate Rainbow Six title was being developed for the Wii, Ubisoft did not comment. Now, the leaked release schedule did say "November 2006: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 5 (PS3, Xbox 360, Rev[Wii], PSP)". This could surely mean another Rainbow Six title could be on it's way to the Wii, maybe Rainbow Six Vegas with slightly different physics and a different name. Watch this space.

we ahve thier support their making two of our launch titles and one of which is only for wii, and i could bet on it that thier will be a ver of r6 on wii, cus the previous r6 games were released on gamcube. and cus ubisoft loves us.

if you cant afford a ps3 then buy a 360 dont be mad cause you can only get a wii and it doesnt have the game you want. actually with that *****ed up wiimote i dont think it will have that much 3rd party support after awhile. just go buy you a 360 and leave the rich boys there ps3.



now isnt that the same list that listed assassin creed for ps3/360/wii/pc/psp. that proof that the list was bogus and that list was before E3. also that list didnt have luminees for the 360 it only had luminees 2 for the psp.

I hope the R6 series falls on its arse since the last one turned it from a tactical shooter to a farking action game. Same thing they did with Ghost Recon, took a fecking awsome game and made it a crappy basic action game.

Bearomon is an inbread retard. People WILL buy the PS3 even if it is expensive, and Sony dosent need to sell alot of PS3's to make a higher percentage of profits, because of the price.

Besisdes its due to the Wii's technical specs, R6LV isnt on the Wii. Its hardware simply isnt that good compared to the otehr 2 systems; thats not saying its a bad console though!

Besides R6LV will probably suck like lockdown and all the other Console R6 titles... They should have kept em on PC..
