Well, Xbox 360 fans, we have another video for you today: a gameplay demo of TotemBall, the pack-in game that will ship along with Microsoft's Xbox 360 Live Vision camera accessory. For more pictures of the camera, check out our previous articles.

Anyway. TotemBall. It's a musical platform game for Xbox Live. It's designed for use with the Xbox camera, which means that you point the camera towards you and control the game using your own body. For a better idea, watch the vid.

We also have a little peek at how Microsoft's image mapping interface works. The whole thing is built around DigiMask's face rendering technology, which has been used before in a number of PS2 titles using Sony's EyeToy accessory. For the Xbox 360, the face rendering technology will be utilized in at least two upcoming titles.

The following pics are of the internal demonstration software, so the final version for the Xbox 360 may turn out to be drastically different.

So, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, two more weapons added to Microsoft's arsenal. There have been rumors that the Nintendo Wii will have image-mapping capabilities, so the day when all three consoles meet head to head (or HD to HD, in this case) is looking to be quite exciting indeed.

It reminds me a lot of the EyeToy. I didn't that the camera was going be used for games. I enjoyed some of the EyeToy games and wonder how games using the Xbox camera will be. Also on the last picture of the guy, what is that in his mouth?

it'd be cool if they do small things like in ghost recon and game like it, when you see a message from a teamate and it shows a little field movie of them, it could show your picture, or even a quick feed of your live face. Like when you frag someone in unreal it could show the other persons face when you killed em and for a few seconds after.....

It's cheap and has a game so i'll get it most likely...

ANTIGRAV

now when i heard about this technology i thought it was gonna be...

in game (say a shooter) it renders ur face and what ur face expression is at the moment

now microsoft cant do that since it would require 2 camera's

so sony has a chance to get that technology into their games and possible someday(in a year or 2) do real time in game rendering on ur face, since their camera does"3d"
