Top Spin 2 Xbox 360 Review

Tennis games have come a long way in terms of graphics since the beloved classic Virtua Tennis. Top Spin 2 offers some very realistic visuals as well as some serious fun. While Virtua Tennis was more arcade than simulation, Top Spin 2 is the complete opposite. You need skills and patience to excel at the game and just aiming to the right and hitting A won't get you very far.

Boomtown offers us an inside look at the very popular Top Spin 2. They note that one major difference between this title and the previous ones is that Top Spin 2 offers online play, including doubles. The game is something that requires a bit of getting used to, and patience pays off. Overall, the reviewer was impressed with the title, despite the load times and learning curve. He just wishes he had some friends to play online with. The final score was an 8.

Here's a little clip of the review:

Unfortunately the process is teeth grindingly slow, as the 360 loads off the disc even the smallest change. Want a different sized moustache? Have a Kit-Kat while the DVD twirls like a ballet dancer trying to find the data containing said face accessory. Or how about a different hair style? You might as well go and get a genuine hair cut; you would probably be finished by the time the game loads in the new style. Do yourself a favour; have the kettle pre-boiled so you can sup some tea while all this is going on. What I ended up doing was getting bored and just picking some red haired gimp with a belly the size of the Isle of Man, just to get the bloody thing over and done with.
