As an update to an earlier article where we said that Tony Hawk will soon be rollin' and flippin' to the XBL soon, we now bring you news as to exactly when the Tony Hawk's Project 8 demo will be coming to the Marketplace.
According to a press release by the game's publisher, Activision, all ya skaters and gamers out there will be able to hit the ramps in Concrete Park, where you'll get to Nail the Trick in Filmer Goals and Spot Challenges. For those not in the know, Nail the Trick is one of the game's key features where players get to control how fast their skater moves their feet to flip the skateboard.
Filmer Goals, on the other hand, require players to follow a cameraman and execute the tricks he calls out; while Spot Challenges refer to the goals that players can access throughout the game world, and complete whenever they want. Currently being developed by Neversoft Entertainment and sporting a T rating from the ESRB, Tony Hawk's Project 8 is scheduled for release in November, with the demo hitting XBLM on October 20th.

I'm dying to get my hands on that "nail the trick" mode. I'm an old school Hawk fan from the very first game, but this will be the first Hawk game I've played since Underground 1. but since Project 8 gets back to the basics, I'm soo stoked for it and want to play it. I want it so bad. Bring me my salvation, Activision! It better be up by the time I get home from work.

It is inside of a concrete skate park, and it is a great teaser.
Ups: Graphics are great (not ground breaking), Nail the Trick is addictive, and for those with varying needs for realism/fantasy try this:
Press Start, go to game options, control options and tinker with Skater Speed. 10 is typical Tony Hawk, 1-3 is quite realistic for speed, olly height etc.
Downs: Time limit, No access to any other features such as create-a-...
