Sony movies return to NXE Netflix - Image 1Xbox 360 gamers were up in arms recently when movies from Columbia Pictures were pulled from Netflix's Xbox Live service.

Since Columbia Pictures is owned by Sony, speculation spread like wildfire that the company pulled the films from Xbox Live intentionally so they can cripple their rival.

Rumors persisted despite Netflix's statement that the unavailability of certain titles are only temporary, and that they were only in the process of licensing their content.

The angry mob should lower their pitchforks now as titles from Columbia Pictures are now back up on the service.

If sony would be faster, they could easily make the biggest and best movie rental service since they have tons of movie studios, same for musics. I don't understand them, they should use way more money for this.

Microsft shouldn't have made a "pact" with netflix, they should have offered their own service anyway. And I'm pretty sure the thing with the colombia movies is because sony is already offering them on their own service, so they don't want to let xbox users have them too soon. But I gess it'll take not more than a month to have them for x360 too.

PS: The only thing lacking to consoles is the "playTV" our UK pals have for the ps3 (could be on x360 too). That lets you plug your tv in the ps3 and use it as a TiVo like device, to record your tv shows and stuff. If it was legal in the US (it SHOULD), the ps3 would have killed the x360, or at least, ps3 users would have it (like me). The x360 could easily support it too!!! And I really hope we'll see this coming for x360 and ps3 in the US for the next gen of consoles!! That would kill!
