There's gold in them thar Xbox 360s! - Image 1

You won't find these babies in a mountain creek. These golden Xbox 360s (not solid gold mind you) will be given away by Microsoft in honor of the coming Chinese New Year. The catch? You have to buy a new 60 GB Xbox 360 or an Elite between January 15 to February 15. Then you have to write an essay on why you love your Xbox 360.

Oh, and you have to live in Hong Kong. Bah.

Still, it won't be surprising if these suddenly pop up on eBay once they're handed out to the winners. So if you don't live in Hong Kong, might as well lurk auction sites and cross your fingers.

So basically to get this totally awesome gold xbox you have to first buy a regular xbox and then write an essay on how totally awesome it is. Your reward? This totally awesome gold xbox! I haven't seen this much blatant circular reasoning since the bible.

LOL

DO NOT QUESTION THE WORD OF MICROSOFT, IT SAYS IT IS TRUE

yeah...

They should have just made a limited edition model that was glossy red with gold accents. It would fit the theme of chinese new year more, and they might actually get rid of them. I can't see alot of people going for this....like at least allow people who got 360's for christmas to enter or something...

!

Well if (actually, WHEN) it overheats and melts, at least the poor owners can make custom jewellery out of the puddle of gold lol!
