The Rosetta Stone For Xbox 360 Error Codes

Xbox 360 Error MessageAt the moment, there are millions of Xbox 360 owners out there, but one has to admit that not every single one of us has already reached the level of "techie-ness" that we would ideally want. So, when your 360 starts doing cartwheels and coughing up hairballs, panicking can sometimes be understandable.

However, one kind soul has decided to help the rest of gamerkind by compiling a list of 360 error codes and what they mean. Truly, this is a godsend for some of us who hasn't quite moved out of the tap-the-box-and-blow-on-the-cartridge repair method just yet.

Are sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 flashing red? Don't worry. The AV cable just isn't getting detected. And for this dilemma, a set of troubleshooting guidelines has also been included. Are the words "Error 0002" plastered on your screen? That means that it's a power supply problem so you might want to check that out as well, and as usual, there's a set of suggestions that you could try in order to get that crimp out of your system.

Hopefully, this guide will be saving a lot of people a lot of headaches, or better yet, a lot of money.

» your great xbox

well well well heres another thing wrong with the xbox 360 that every body is quick to take up for. "oh look my xbox starts spitting error codes", oh well its cool its just the power. I bet my college money that if this artical was about ps3 everybody would say ps3 sucks. the truth is that xbox 360 is just a rushed system thats broken and sucks. stop trying to put trash back together. just let it die.

i love seeing ps3 fanboys say crap like that.

ps2 launch was awful, loads of machine were having disc read errors, problems reading blue discs, disc trays that grinded as the ejected... and that was then.. using cheap crap to build the machine.

xb had a few probs but not many, gc was pretty much fine... now the 360 is also using cheap crap and thus quite a few machines have had problems...

but the ps3... its gonna be quite a show, theyve had countless problems making them, 100s not working properly.. the launch has even been cut down from 5 million machines to 3 mil due to low yeilds in the manufacturing process... if the 360 launch was "messy" ...the ps3 launch is gonna be armageddon... :) and i doubt sony will be as helpful as MS- who sent out boxes so you could send your machine straight to them and get a new one back...
