The official Halo 3 logo - you've come a long way, Master Chief.

Finally, Bungie now has an official logo for Halo 3! Their latest news update is dedicated to the history behind the logo that will grace the box art and all promotional media for the latest Halo installment. The #@%!4
5#@%! logo stays true to the form of its predecessors. Bungie decided to include as well some "weathered" effects and a bit of cracking here and there, to reflect the long, arduous (in-game) history of Halo, and how far the game has come along since its surprise debut on the original Xbox.

As a second bonus for Halo fans everywhere, the Bungie team has released their first ever podcast! That's right! This whopping hour-long file treats listeners to a sneak peek of Halo 3's audio effects (why then are we calling it "sneak peek?"), as well as interviews, special guests, and features. Features like the first ever "real-time" Waaahmbulance! So while we continue to grace your eyes with new shots and reports of Halo 3 in action at TGS 2006, you can also grace your ears with the Bungie podcast and hear what their wonderful people have to say.
