Said Keiji Inafune on the game's concept, "What if computers disappeared?" There's so much to be known about this mech game, but yet they have said so little of it. Thank goodness for this video we picked up along the way (courtesy of Joystiq).
The original Steel Battalion boasted of a whopping control pad back in its heyday. Capcom, however, has revealed that they are doing away with those controllers and will instead be using Kinect.
“Probably you remember this title – it’s coming back," said Inafune. "A new interpretation of Steel Battalion is born. No more production of computer chips – that would change our life completely. Earlier, the game was using a very large controller which made this very famous. Now it will use Kinect. This is for core gamers. We are focusing on that. Even with Kinect, we are creating games for core gamers. That’s the only thing we can do at Capcom. And we should do it thoroughly.”

How many times can you completely destroy the rockman series and keep bringing it back? Ive been playing a LOT of SB1 and I gotta say after April's loss of XBOX1 Live titles, ive been thinking about SB on my 360 a LOT. This was jaw dropping news when i read the title but now ive lot all interest. last thing i wanna do with kinect is play games let alone fancy tank sims that ive paid hundreds of dollars for. How can they possibly decide to not support their OWN controller?!? i dont know about you guys but i feel that the more capcom goes in the right direction the more they loose sight of what their goals should be. IE: Great New Streetfighters FINALLY. Oh lame theyre all a bunch of stupid crossovers...
