On one hand, we've got PopCap Games, known for its highly addictive puzzle games that spawned clones all over. On the other, there's the prolific RPG master, Square Enix. What happens when those two team up and merge their specialties? That's where this new game comes out of - Gyromancer, a new puzzle RPG coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PC.

It seems that that instead of the conventional battle scenes, you get to slug it out with a round of...Bejeweled? It's basically like playing Bejeweled, except the skin has characters that sends beams, combos, and fancy explosions.

It's not like the games we usually see, and it's too early too tell what else the game has in store. But based on what we've already seen, there might be some potential to this one. What about you guys? Fun or fail?

Here's what I'm more interested to see:

I wonder, now that there's already one puzzle RPG in existence (Puzzle Quest) -- is there actually room in the genre for another?

Kidding of course. I'm sure there's more than one puzzle RPG out there. (Galactrix... Almost said Galaxy Quest haha. Tim Dan rah rah rah rah.)
