Texas Hold 'Em PokerDear Xbox 360 Gamers, we regret to inform you that contrary to what we've reported (and believed ourselves), Texas Hold 'Em Poker will not be one of the several free downloadable content to be offered in the Xbox Live Marketplace.

We know it was slated for an August 23 release - but even that "fact" is in question judging by the statements Microsoft gave Gamespot. They said that the game is still in development, but its launch date and other related details have not been disclosed.

Greg Canessa, Xbox Live Arcade group manager, has confirmed this news, saying that those who want to play Texas Hold 'Em Poker will have to cough up some cash to play this popular card game. So it's definitely NOT FREE.

This may not be a major setback for Microsoft, given that the Marketplace surpassed 10 million downloads already, still, it would have been a real treat if gamers could download Texas Hold 'Em Poker free of charge.

Why would I pay for a game when I can download any number of free poker software clinets from the net. I dont think I will be intrested now. 400 points would be abit of a push I thinks.

not buying it... literally

They claimed it would be free for a limited time, this according to a Major Nelson blogcast. Now they say it won't!? The real treat would be if they stuck to their original plan and if they actually released the game sooner than later. I'm sure it's all part of a strategy against the launch of the other two consoles to postpone the release of major titles. Anyhow, I'm pissed.

Bet Microsoft Points

It would be so cool to buy and bet Microsft points online and win tons of points to buy stuff. although it probably wont be in the game cuz microsoft doesnt condone underage gambling it would be pimp.
