texas hold em

Texas Hold 'em, a free Xbox Live Arcade poker game, will start shuffling cards on August 23. The game, according to MS, is the most realistic poker game for both beginners and pros. It offers the thrills of the perfect hand or the perfect bluff in ring games of up to eight cardsharks and tournaments. Plus it's the only game we know where it's perfectly all right to sing the The Gambler while playing it.

Texas Hold 'em has the following features:

Modes: Choose from three super game modes: standard game, tournament, or scenarios.

Variations: Play dozens of game variations, or create your own custom multiplayer.

Help: Comprehensive help provides details on each aspect of the game game.

Challenges: Realistic computer players challenge every skill level.

Gambling with MS Points?

I wonder if they'll make it so that you can bet your MS Points with other users. Without something to lose poker is pretty boring. You know how many "All in!" that'll be played?

yea

It isn't so fun w/out something to lose. Most gambling sites will only let you take out 1000 3 times/hour, although that is a LOT. It still gets you betting big because you can just have 1000 and start over. I think if they did it like, 5000 twice per DAY it would stop all ins a little. I don't think they could let you bet MS points because that is gambling and probably illegal. It's the same as buying "credits" at a normal poker gambling website.

So then

If bot real money (MS Points are based on real money), then maybe we can gamble with Achievement Points. Achievement Points are pretty useless. But it would be fun to take them away from others. You can bet specific game achievements. You can view the game "Texas Hold 'Em" and when you look at the achievements, you will see the gamertags of people you've won points from. And if you've lost points, the achievement will be grayed out or a label could be added saying "Lost in a Poker Bet". The loser can have a list of total points lost under the T.H.E. achievement list. I don't know, I'm just brainstorming. XP
