Have you downloaded the recently announced Tenchu Z demo over at Xbox Live Marketplace and found yourself craving for more ninja action? Worry not as North American gamers can finally get their hands on the real deal with Microsoft and From Software informing us of its availability starting today in retail stores across the region.

Part of the renowned Tenchu franchise, Tenchu Z is the first mission-based ninja stealth action game for the Xbox 360. In this video game, players are encouraged to develop their stealth skills while killing every single enemy. Of course, you can also opt to openly engage your opponents but more reward will be given if you stick to the ninja way.

This game has its own customization feature that lets players create their own characters and develop face types, hair features, outfits, and accessories among others. In terms of gameplay, Tenchu Z offers both single play and multiplay through Xbox Live or System Link.

Tenchu Z has been given a rating of "M" by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB). It can be purchased for a suggested price of US$ 59.99.

Shipping date does not equal release.

I went to Gamestop today and they told me to come back tomorrow. Either it isn't supposed to be sold today, or I got royally screwed. Oh, well.

as

I tried the demo and it sucked major ass. Graphics were crap, animations were crap and gameplay was crap. I wouldn't even download and burn this, because the isn't worth the dvd-r.

Maybe

I went and got it today, and I can see the possibility of redundancy. There are however plenty of items, attacks, and character customization options available through the in game store. I also think four player co-op could keep this game alive. And it may just be me, but while the demo's graphics kind of bothered me (low res + lots of clipping) I think the game's other levels are better just because they have more in them. The sparsity of of objects in the demo made it boring. So far I am enjoying the game.
