Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi said its upcoming title Lost Planet: Extreme Condition will remain exclusive to Xbox 360. This puts the rumor that it will also be released on PS3 in a box six feet under. The rumor started from the recently held Leipzig Games Convention.

In an interview, Jun Takeuchi said their team focuses development of the title on a single platform. "For Lost Planet that platform is the Xbox 360. We have no plans at this time of porting to or developing for another console as this would potentially dilute the final product."

This early the sci-fi action shooter set on an icy planet full of nasty creatures has been getting positive feedback. "We are pleased with the response the demo has received. More than 550,000 Lost Planet demos have been downloaded and as IÂ’ve been reading the forums, the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, " says Takeuchi.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
is set to be released globally in January 2007.

not correct. According to the developer during GC2006, they don't have current plans within the first 6-12 months after the 360 release to release it to other platforms.

But they did say that they are confident that it will be released atleast for the ps3 6-12 months after the 360 release. Apparently they want to "enhance" the game just for the ps3 (eg. graphics/controller schemes).

too bad 360 fangirls. hahaha

ps3 FTW!!!

So even thought the people in charge of the game saying that it's for the 360 only you still think that it'll come out on the ps3??? How does that work

Just like Resident Evil 4 was supposed to be exclusive to Gamecube. We'll see.

^Yeah, but Resident Evil 4 was annouced for the for the PS2 before it was even relased on the GC. Seems like wishful thinking that PS3 fanboys just can't fathom the fact that LP is a 360 exclusive.
