Square Enix unveils two giant RPGs at Microsoft pre-TGS 2007 conference |
Ó
As we've heard before, SE took developer Tri-Ace's Infinite Undiscovery under its banner. In this video, the game's producer and director shed light on a few details of the "dynamic" RPG with seamless gameplay. Larger-than-life Last Remnant, which is Squeenix' game "dedicated to the world," also got its share of the spotlight. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until TGS 2007 before we see new trailers of these two.
If you're wondering what Square Enix had to offer during Microsoft's conference, just check out the video below.

it's good microsoft is trying to cater 2 a larger audience i like RPGs so iu might check these out
the sort of games i really want for a console... i know they are targetting the Japanese consoumers but they might just get a Quixand bonus!!! finally a reason for me to get a 360 (still waiting for Mass Effect to convince me to grab one this XMAs) but with 7 PS3 games on my list for this holiday my wallet might not cooperate... but with Lost Odyssey and now these two games i would have no reason to say anymore that the 360 doesn't offer the games i want...
although obviously it would be a long wait, i'll be content with my PS3 until then (although i've always thought that the Last Remnant will come out on the PS3 too)...
one thing to keep in mind though is that if these two games come out late 2008 to 2009 then the 360 will already by at 3 years and if the 360 has a life span of 4 to 5 years (before Microsoft comes out with a new console) then i might just hold off on getting one altogether and just plug away with Final Fantasy XIII.
@ Quixand I highly doubt that Microsoft would give the 360 this short lifespan the only reason they cut the xbox 1 life short was because they wanted to rush into the market and push their 360 they won't do that again nintendo made the same mistake with the GBC n they learned and after sinking 1 billion dollars their gonna see their investment through those ten years and again they have no reason to discontinue their 2nd gen xbox once the 3rd gen hits they would lost too much money as i said it's highly unlikely they even said they will not release their third 4 5+ years but they will still make their 2nd gen Xbox just trying to help u out
Eternal Sonata which just came out, and despite what people say about Blue Dragon, it is good.
People either love or hate BD....if you loved the original final fantasies, and want an oldschool final fantasy experience with nice graphics then Blue dragon will not dissappoint....it was just some reviewers gave it a hard time as it did not "innovate" enough....really, I am super happy with everything being like an oldschool FF game, just more refined and with better character desgins...
Also, MS probably will come out with a new console after 4-5 years, but I don't think they will drop the support for 360 as fast as they did with xbox...as well, they will use a very similar desing to the 360...just with more cores/higher clock speeds and a better GPU + more ram, allowing it to play orig 360's games without emulation. I think they learned that people actually do want backwards compatibility...
you are right about that... i have a huge interest with Blue Dragon initially but the negative reviews and the reception that the game is getting now has sort of turned me off...
as for the 360's lifespan, my personal assessment of this current generations is that it will last a lot longer than anyone would expect... first and foremost XBox is in a nice position this time so they won't be so eager to reset the playing field anytime soon unlike last gen... as for Sony they have a lot invested on the PS3 (and Blu Ray) and they will be pushing for the PS3 to have a long lifespan (as they have telling people already time and again)...
but lair got awful reviews yet i still kinda liked the the game a couple ppl gave HS lukewarm reviews yet i still like the game i would give it a 8.5 the only part about the game that i didn't like was the length.
