Still shot from TV Spot

Heeeello, Halo! In everyone's fascination with video game TV spots, it's beyond a doubt that pinning the words "Halo 3" and "TV Spot" will cause massive ripples, waves, and tsunamis far and wide. The recent announcement of a Halo 3 TV spot has sparked the crowd of Master Chiefaholics and all those pair of eyes are going to leave the computer screen for a chance to take a glimpse of 60 seconds of glory.

See that pic above you? Looks like something we've never seen before in our screenshot articles, but y'know what? The reason why it looks new is because it's a still from the TV spot itself. The ad was created by advertising agency McCann Erickson and will give you the ultimate tease that reveals you the world of Halo 3.

Now, if you're quite done gushing tears of Bungie joy, let's post up the schedule for the simultaneous broadcast:
  • North America: Dec. 4 - ESPN Monday Night Football
  • Europe: Dec. 5 - Xbox.com, 2:15 a.m. GMT
For those in the UK not able to catch it on the 5th, it will air again on the 15th at Channel 4, 10:45 p.m. And for those who don't have access to cable or are in other countries, the ad will be available for download exclusively on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

However, if you're technologically/geographically incapacitated to watch the vid, don't worry. We're sure to have it up here as an embedded video soon enough. You do know, after all, how thousands of users upload all kinds of stuff in YouTube...

» Its pre-rendered

Bungie hired a company to do a commercial for Halo3.

Since Halo3 isnt polished and the game at this point or at the point of EGMs hand-on review, it looked like Halo2.

So Bungie hired a company to make a commercial pre-rendered.

As far as it goes, no one knows what the finished result will look like. All we know is it wont look better then GoW.

» actually..

im prettty sure the preview at e3 this year was using the new engine running off of a 360, and it looked REALLY good. also it might look better than GoW by having much more vast levels. so it seems like they would take the time to polish another commercial. unless you have a link to proof that they are hiring a company to do it for them...?

» Yeah

its in the EGM magazine, they have screenshots of the game they played while at bungie studios.

It looked like Halo2, the review staff who went admitted the game didn't look like anything at the tech demo.

In the magazine they announced that bungie hired a company to do a pre-rendered video of Halo3 to advertise the game. Pick up the magazine, otherwise ill scan it for you.

» thanks for the heads up..

i hate when these corporations bluff with pre-rendered graphics

by Pupnasty - 2006-12-01 12:54
» render and cgi

well...th graphics are prolyl lowered down just to get the kinks out of the multiplayer so they have less code to dig through, i mean

imagine..HD coding, mixed with multiplayer...and all that, crazy stuff....its just to get bugs out, in the final release, itll be on par or higher of that at the tech demo
