Saints Row

Under threat from rival gangs and corrupt officials, the 3rd Street Saints must conquer the city of Stilwater or face destruction in THQ's Saints Row. From the spectacular opening battle to regain control of the local hood, Saints Row offers the freedom to explore StilWater, a living, breathing city. Players are free to engage in the multitude of different activates at their leisure, all while building up respect in a gameplay-rich world. Build enough respect and the 3rd Street Saint's lieutenants will trust the player with more dangerous missions.

This game will suck

Just a prediction, but I think this game will suck. They could have done so much more with this type of game, but left out so much that was in the Grand Theft Auto series for years. No helicopters, no swimming, no motorcycles, no boats, basically just gang warfare. I'll wait for a proper GTA IV to come out.

looking better

Its starting to look better than it did when they first showed screenshots but I also predict this is going to be a flop. This just trys to hard to be the next grand theft auto...maby its something that could hold the fans over until the next grand theft auto is released but I doubt it.

Numba 2

You can swim, this game has ragdoll, gta doesnt, that makes it betta, going back playin san andreas, its so boring to kill people, its annoyin, but ur right, they shulda put stuff yu could fly, but i dont think im gunna miss tha exciting rides of boats! ya that was sarcasm, who cares about boats?! specially when you can warp to tha shore

Flop?!?!

I totally understand where people are coming from when they say it sucks that they did not include planes/copters/boats etc., but this game is not going to flop. It's fun as hell if you ask me and the physics do give it a heads up on gta (at least until gta 4). The graphics are really good and the features you do have out-weigh some of those in gta, like tons of customization, physics, and online multiplayer. The controls are pretty tight and so is this game. I will buy this game. It will be a success so long as multiplayer is tight, and while it doesn't excite me as much as gta 4 does I do believe the inevitable saints row 2 is something to look forward to.

word

this game is really fun you guys should give it a try before saying gta cone gta clone it doesnt matter what its similar to GTA defined a genre it didnt make 1 o stop calling every damn game a gta clone with the exception of this 1 but anyway dis game is pretty fun and saints row 2 will own gta by the way

So your telling me that a game wich hasn't even been anounced yet will own another game that hasn't come out yet? Wow I totally believe you NOT! Sorry but no game in this genre will ever own GTA. GTA 3 is still better than every game in this genre right now except maybe this one. And I'm not talking about graphics. We'll know for sure when the full game is released.

running

too bad the character's running animation looks retarded... pretty much ruined it for me

planes trains and automobiles

So since GTA had this and that it means that every game thats similar MUST have all the features of GTA? but then you don't want a clone right? I don't think GTA3 had motorcycles, planes (dodo is not a real plane, more a glider) or swimming. For a first go at a game like this it's great, better than GTA3 was for a first go. The physics are amazing and fun to play with. There is swimming, but it's not necessary... which it really wasn't NEEDED in San Andreas if you ask me. Why didn't the GTAs have GOOD customization, online play, good graphics, etc? perhaps compared to this the other GTA games have flopped for some people.

ima huge gta fan i love gta i just think they went in a very bad direction with san andreas i loved gta 3 and vice city 2 of my all top games ive ever played but san andreas at most to me deserved a 7.5 since it had so much ***** to do but the story characters world etc just because a world is huge doesnt make it a well designed world especially if nothings in it look at the map in saints row everything CITY BUILDING HOUSE ETC. ok i understand in gta there forest no problem with that but why does a forest have 2 trees every mile? GTASA was a joke and if GTA4 follows its foot steps its going to be ***** to me

Just make sure you never say that graphics dont matter on a system when your defending your xbox360 from now on because 99% of the microsoft fans have said its gameplay that defines the games right? From the people that have reviewed the demo and this game and just by the looks of this game it seems it will have no chance in having the same gameplay quality as any of the gta's. Even gta 1 seems to beat it.

nah you got it all wrong.. 360 fans say that PS3 graphics are barely better (if at all) than 360.. its the nintendo fans that say graphics don't matter, cuz they got the least powerful system.

helicopter

sh*it

poser game.

play the demo

instead of going off of what others are saying about the game, go try the demo, it speaks for itself. and think that things can't change somewhat in the final product. it's just to give you a taste of what the game has to offer. don't jump the gun!
