Silverlight-based Xbox Live gamercards created by community - Image 1Microsoft's browser-based multimedia platform Silverlight is slowly gaining popularity as its usage and flexibility are continuously expanding.

An official Xbox Community Developer on Xbox Live Nation recently released new Xbox Live gamercards based on the said app. The gamercards look quite cool and offers greater interactivity.

It allows users to check game status and other gamercards in real time. Community Developer stonyarc discussed over their forums:

After some major programming hours, I'm proud to announce that we now feature Silverlight-based Gamercards. Silverlight is a flash-like technology from Microsoft.

The XLN cards are rendered using our own API web services and the dynamic data is generated by a PHP engine. The overall architecture is quite complex but it works. The cards can be seen in our forums. This is in beta so please report any errors.

Like stonyarc himself said, these gamercards are very much in beta status so be sure to report bugs and problems should you decide to try them out. More information can be found via the Source link below.
