This week has seen been quite a debacle of claims and disputes about Tomb Raider Anniversary (PSP, PS2, PC, and Wii) also coming to the Microsoft Xbox 360 platform. Was it only to be released as downloadable content of last year's Tomb Raider: Legend on Xbox Live? Did ESRB's ratings of those four levels enough for proof to back the rumor up?

Eidos Interactive might be mum about the issue but some have claimed that it's actually already been confirmed (as Slutmosa (Unregistered) pointed out the other day in the comments section). So what's the deal, really? According to CVG, Lara Croft is "definitely" coming to the 360, saying that a source of theirs who works in Eidos revealed that it "is 'unclear' whether the game will be arriving via disc or download at this point. He says 'there is a chance' it could be an Xbox Live download."

If it weren't obvious from the ESRB ratings in the first place, it seems like most facts are indeed pointing towards XBL. But of course, as the CVG source mentioned, there's still that off-chance that it could be a separate disc available on retail shelves. Can't they just bare the skinny on Lara already?
