Shadowrun demo available in XBL Marketplace |
Ó
The 16-bit classic RPG-turned shooter Shadowrun got a new lease on life with its Microsoft Xbox 360 iteration, but in the aftermath of its release, critics find themselves with mixed reactions on how the game turned out to be. If you're one of the many fans who are having second thoughts on whether to get the game or not, this is your chance to make up your mind. There's a demo of the FASA title right in the Xbox Live Marketplace and it features a lone map which you can use to play against bots or other users in public rooms. The array of weapons and magic you can use is pretty limited, but we still appreciate the fact that there's a free pop before buying or renting it.
Shadowrun was initially popularized in the SNES and Sega Genesis game systems as an RPG but Microsoft and the developers decided to give it a first-person makeover where magic meets mechanics. The most important aspect of the game, however, would have to be the fact that players from Windows Vista and the Xbox 360 could cross over using their respective Live systems for more fun.

this demo has been out for days.
LATE QJ
I sent you guys and e-mail and posted in the "TenchuZ and Vampire Rain available for download in Asia" the day the demo came out. You guys need to be on time!
I did'nt really have high expectations for this game, but damn this game was worse than I thought.
Its more random shooting than the unreal games has ever been. Anyways, some may like it, respect for that.
I wasn't to bothered about this game, but played the demo and really like it. Give it a try.
I bought the game at launch and have to say im loving it. Get together with a group of friendly players and the game becomes even better, especially if you get into a clan.
They have announceda patch scheduled for July with a new map, new gamemode, fixes, clan support, matchmaking time for some people fix.
The gameplay is actually kinda of fun to play. Otherthan that it's terrible from no single player to bad graphics etc. don't buy it.
I bought the full game and have some problems with it. Single player is bots only, (so only get this if you have live) no ranked matches, no rank, and the non rifle guns spray and are inaccurate to make it even for pc players with keyboard mouse. Only three game types, team deathmatch, capture the flag (1 flag, and neutral flag). No clan support. The levels are also so blocky they seemed like they were developed for the N64. The magic is ok but the novelty wears off quick.
