ShadowrunIt looks like Gears of War isn't the only one who suffered from the unexpected downtime that prevented players from playing online. One multiplatform and unreleased title apparently suffered the same fate.

We mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the beta testing of Shadowrun will be opened to Xbox 360 players. Unfortunately for the game, the said testing was scheduled for December 27, about the same time the downtime struck. this is the exact message from developer Fasa Studio on the game's official site:

BETA UPDATE 12/27/06: There are currently some issues propping the beta build to the production servers. We are trying to get the beta out tonight but it may be delayed somewhat. More information will go here as soon as it is available.

Now we wonder where this will leave Shadowrun. It was expected to be out at the early part of 2007, together with its PC version. Such delay could push the release further. As of this moment, Fasa is trying its best to fix the problem. We will update you as soon as we found out something.
