Serious Sam HD announced for Xbox Live Arcade

Serious Sam creators Croteam, along with Devolver Digital and Majesco, are bringing Sam "Serious" Stone's first adventure -- Serious Sam: The First Encounter -- to XBLA sporting some seriously upgraded HD graphics.

"We are really excited to update our hero and recreate Sam in stunning high definition for Xbox LIVE Arcade players,” said Roman Ribaric, Croteam CEO. “The fans have lobbied us hard to do this, so we are stoked about bringing Sam back as big, bold and bad as he ever was."

The re-tooled First Encounter is powered by an all-new version of the CroTech engine. Expect big guns, tons of enemies, and four-player online co-op when the game, now dubbed Serious Sam HD, launches this summer.
