Ryan Payton confirmed to be on Halo team; big Halo announcement at TGS |
Ó
Remember that rumor saying that Ryan Payton of the Metal Gear Solid 4 team upped and joined the crew of Halo?Turns out the rumor's true. This was confirmed by head of Microsoft Game Studios himself, Phil Spencer. Payton is also rumored to be directing a Halo project, but Microsoft didn't confirm this one, saying only that "the team is working on upcoming and existing Halo games."
Rumors and speculation has been jumping around as to what the Halo team's been working on lately ever since they released the Keep It Clean teaser trailer on their site after a 12-hour countdown. Is it an expansion pack for Halo 3? Does it have anything to do with Halo Wars?
We'll know when the Tokyo Game Show hits next week. According to Microsoft, the Halo team will be making a major announcement in relation to the teaser trailer. Pumped.

All hail Tokyo Games Show...
*tells his best friend to bring back *** toys... ;)*
ahh, I wanna go back to that place, so much more comfortable... and Japanese games...
And annouced that all subsequent Halo titles would be multi-platform...
Just saying. I seriously doubt it's the case.
How they gonna end it this time? another ring? hmmm... M chief's face maybe? more cutscence ala MGS4... It would be funny if it went multiplatform though, but unlikely.
wat a *****, how dare he reduce himself from MGS to the pathetic Bungie.........at least go to a more powerful company.....or something....
fearlubu is a fanboy.
As a user of Apple computers since 1987 I am very happy with this developemnt.
When the world said Apple was dead Bungie who were a dedicated team of developers continued to make and transport games for the Mac. This group were always on the edge and regarded often as radical as they did not support the mainstream. That they signed a deal for good money with MS pre xbox release is history but Bungie still remains a company dedicated to trying to do something which is visually enjoyable and fun to play. That is essentially the essence of a game. Fun. There are games out there which could be fun but sometimes I get fed up with doing circus tricks with my fingers, Bungie IMO keep it simple and direct allowing the purchaser of a game to just enjoy rather than do finger acrobatics.
As an answer to fearlubu, most powerful companies do produce on occasion truly great games but they also produce a tremendous amount of mediocre wish I hadn't wasted my money crap. For me, the better the people at Bungie the better Bungie will become. Good News.
