Baldree also let loose details regarding Torchlight's console port. The game's download size will be quite small at around 200MB, but it seems Runic have gone to great lengths to tailor Torchlight to console players.

The UI has been completely overhauled so even if you've played the PC version you'll probably still take a moment to familiarize yourself with everything.

"The concept of item 'slots' is done away with - you just have a number of items you can hold ( 50 - ignores stack counts )," he posted. "Potions and scrolls stack up to 99. Potions 'auto pick' the best potion to heal you or regen mana. You don't have to think about it or map it."

All skills found in the original are still in the port, although some of them have been tweaked. Players can have four active mapped skills at a time. A secondary set can be switched to using the d-pad for a total of eight.

What have been removed are secondary weapon sets, because "there was no way we could find that didn't feel horrible in inventory management". Socketing, enchanting, fishing, the infinite dungeon, and item combination are still in.

Too bad there's no PS3 release. The changes they've made sound pretty interesting.

unless there is a local or online co-op feature. there is no reason to buy this game, very boring playing solo. PS3 players arent missing much.
