This unconfirmed rumor from IGN is a bit dated, but it would be too much to pass on this nonetheless, especially if you're not the type to read PC Gamer (because you're too busy reading OXM, perhaps). IGN says that "on page 28 of the (PC Gamer) Holiday 2006 issue, a display stand photographed on the Microsoft campus shows Gears of War among several upcoming PC games."
Okay, that was a clear statement, Andrushka. It DOES make sense, when you think of it. Windows Vista, DX10 mated to a G80, Gears is certainly one hot or at least well-known title to have in a lineup. On the other hand, this goes against the entire grain of making Gears a 360-exclusive - unless anyone out there wants to play up the entire "MS has two fat fingers in the pie" (360 AND Games for Windows) angle again.
Of course, IGN's calls to Microsoft went nowhere; MS "could not confirm" that Gears will Emerge onto PCs at any time in the foreseeable future. Memo from us to IGN: tried ringing up anyone in Epic Games yet?
Given that a PC Gears should, for the sake of Pete, be worth its weight in Xbox 360 quality, this may make the latest in video cards and multicore processors on a gaming rig mandatory, if not necessary. Of course, there is no confirmation or even official word from Microsoft or Epic about a PC Gears yet, so we'll probably hold on swapping out the vidcard for a G80 for now.

haha yeh gears of war will definitely be out for PC as well. Just look at Halo. sure it will probably take 6-12 months before it gets released, it will eventually.
Halo 2, once thought to be a xbox exclusive will also be released on vista next year and so will halo 3.
Come to think of it, most if not all of the 360's and xbox1's must have exlusives are on PC. hahaha. so whats the reason for getting a 360 now except to play games a little earlier then the PC release?

I agree with your post man, but it will eventually be on PC. And to the idiot PS3 fanboy, youre just jealous because PS3 doesnt have as good of games as 360. All the good games on PS3 come to 360 (Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Guitar Hero, Metal Gear Solid...thats about all the good games I can think of that PS3 has), but never will your PS3 get 360s good games (Halo, Gears Of War, PGR, Dead Rising, etc etc etc). And in case you didnt know MS is the OS of almost every computer unless youre using an Apple, and who uses an Apple comp anyways? So 360 fans could care less what PCs get since we usually get the same games as they do. And no, PS3 will not rule. Read any reviews of the PS3 console, none of them are positive (unless of course its a Sony review).

Halo was released on the PC in October 2003, a month less than TWO YEARS after the XBox version. Halo 2 was released in November 2004, TWO YEARS ago, and Halo 2 for Vista will arrive sometime next year, so it's probably going to be about 2.5 YEARS after the XBox version. So given the previous games, Halo 3 will not arrive on the PC until 2009 at the earliest! Have fun waiting!
And as mentioned already, there are many Playstation exclusives from last gen with next-gen versions also coming out on 360, PC or both (although MGS4 is still just a rumour at present).
So don't get all smug about exclusives and stop acting like a kid online, since the cost of producing next-gen games means the trend has moved towards multiplatform games and away from console exclusives.
if you can afford to play gears on your super computer u surely can afford 360 and ps3 so get outhere dumbass u stilll putting $$$ in microsoft pockets

definitely not worth 60 or 50 if it coems to pc anyway so if it does just download it beleive me its not a 9.6 game its maybe around 8.2 with superb graphics which make it really overrated

I'm no way a fan boy of any system but i like the Xbox 360 the most. I just got a PS3 and their "best game" Resistance Fall of Man is a bunch of garbage....it's a bunch of washed up ideas taken from Halo, Calls of Duty, and Battlefield 2. The graphics can not touch gears of war as well as the game play.
and most of these PS3 fan boys dont even own a PS3, they have no clue what they are talking about.
