Rumor: OXM's March issue gives The Club an 8, Devil May Cry 4 a 7.5 - Image 1If this recent rumor we're picking is true, even Dante's devilishly (no pun intended) good looks won't save him from the unrelenting wrath of the critic's pen.

Member yaser imran virk of the NeoGAF forums reports that the latest issue of Microsoft's Official Xbox Magazine will be featuring a review score for Devil May Cry 4, The Club, FIFA Street 3, and Dynasty Warriors 6.

What's interesting to point out here is that OXM has apparently given DMC4 a score of 7.5, while giving The Club as score of 8.0. No other details were explained as to why the magazine gave these scores, though the guys at NeoGAF speculate it may have something to do with DMC4's repetitive boss battles, quirky platforming, and extensive backtracking.

On a related note, FIFA Street 3 and Dynasty Warriors 6 received scores of 5.0 each. Moving on, yaser imran virk further hinted that OXM's next issue would also carry these updates (quoting the original post):
  • Mass Effect sequels will remain xbox exclusive
  • Prince of Persia game to use Assassin's Creed engine.
  • a update for Rock Band that will make band world tour playable online
While these info bits are interesting to think about, we remind the readers that they're currently rumors. Drop by again in case we run into any related information regarding this matter.

» Those speculated reasons are dead on

That's exactly what OXM had to say about it, too many repetitive bosses (they said you fight one three times) and after going through the game as Nero you backtrack all the way though again as Dante.

I didn't play the demo so I don't know how well it plays, but that doesn't sound very fun to me. A rental at best
