Rumor: Microsoft's E3 '07 line-up leaked

It's been making its rounds on the web, and it's interesting alright. Forum-goer Xeoset on the Wii60 forums posted Microsoft's E3 '07 lineup which supposedly came from an E3 Floor Manager. (And yes, we've heard the "Oooh, someone's gonna get fired" reactions, but we'll be staying away from that.)

So what's on the list? We tell you, not all of them make sense, so let's try and decipher what they must mean:

Microsoft start first at 6.30pm GMT+0:00. (Fact)
New Crimson Skies game to be announced.
Bungie working on new title/series not related to anything in the Halo/Marathon Universe.
Epic Games to show some form of Gears of War 2 Trailer.
Microsoft have bought the Star Wars Battlefront 3 rights. Trailer/Demo to be shown.
Rare to show off Banjo Kazooie 3 (Banjo-Theerie).
Rare to announce 2 new games.
Rare to announce Kameo 2.
Lionhead Studios show more of Fable 2.
Microsoft to fund a new game based on Jason Bourne. It'll be based on the books and not the film with Matt Damon.
Team Ninja to show off Ninja Gaiden 2. Labeled 360 Exclusive.
Apparently there's news of a MGS Game for the 360. May or may not be the 4th Installment.
Dead Rising 2 to be shown. May not be ready.

Did we read that right? Metal Gear Solid for the Xbox 360 which may or may not be MGS 4? Big news indeed, IF it's true. And a Ninja Gaiden iteration exclusively for Microsoft's console? Well, Microsoft might as well make its E3 appearance as grand as possible if what Gamecock says about this year's E3 being the last ever comes true.

But what of this "leaked line-up", if it's going to be another rumored list like that of Nintendo's? Nothing really, just the opportunity to say that "Yeah, we've heard about that" if some of these become true. Or maybe this is just another one of those "hyping the Microsoft presentation" so you'll be interested in what it has for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this year. You never know. Let's wait and see if this supposed Microsoft E3 line-up holds water.

E3 will be held on July 11 to July 13 at Santa Monica, California.

This is definately a great day to be a 360 owner. Im also excited about every one of those announcements, especially the NG2 Exclusive and Dead Rising 2. Im gonna laugh my butt off if the MGS they show is MGS4, that would basically make getting a PS3 completly pointless other than to say *i have a cheap bluray player*

All this news is awesome though!! MS is really gonna win some people over this E3.

Micro$oft learned from past mistakes. They are making moves behind the scenes and reaping the benefits. Sure their system isn't selling as fast as the Wii but at this point there are two types of gamers this generation: insanely casual - casual to Nintendo only fans; and casual - intermediate to hardcore PS3 or 360 fans. First, they started a year early, gaining a lead with developers and a huge installed base. Second they secured even more developers and improved their already excelent online service (Marketplace is a powerful addiction, I find myself checking out what's new before even playing a new game as second nature). Now they use their world wide base and $$$ to get even more exclusives after even more sales of games and systems. Epic had a monster hit with Gears of War (Which sold more copies than Sony sold PS3's) but what about Japanese devs? Capcom hit it big with 3 titles, Dead Rising hit a mil in sales, Lost Planet hit a mil in sales, and Street Fighter 2 is the most profitable game ever released in XBLA history. What's good for M$ is good for the industry. They keep innovating and improving, not just contend with borrowing like Sony seems to be, and wont settle for gimmicks like Nintendo. (Don't get me wrong, I love the DS but big N needs to dump the console. They are the only ones making good games for it (like the GameCube before) and if the Wii is the only console in your home, eventually you'll just get bored.

dead rising 2 definetly. the first one was amazing and no zombie game has ever been made that amazing! it had huge success and will probably gat dead rising 2.

mgs4 i dont think so. i think that sony will keep it to them selvs as it will be their best exclusive, thats the same as microsoft giving away halo.

i doubt they will make a new MGS for xbox 360 but im not complaining if we dont get it eithier.

Some of it seems alright but a lot of it seems like total B.S. Team Ninja already announced that Ninja Gaiden 2 is going to be released for both PS3 and 360, not to mention Team Ninja is defending the PS3. And MGS 4 seems like it will not happen. If they show Gears of War 2 I will cream my pants, god that game rocks. But yeah I doubt the MGS and Ninja Gaiden stuff.

I think the MGS4 on 360 might be true, why did all the sites remove the post about if because konami threatened a lawsuit? Something is going on.

Yeah, Ninja Gaiden 2 MIGHT be exclusive to the 360, but I don't think PS3 owners should be threatened, wasn't Ninja Gaiden 1 on Xbox as exclusive? Yeah, it will arrive on the PS3 a few years afterwards being updated with more features. Look what happened to the first Xbox Ninja Gaiden, the original release, Black (with extras and updates) and Sigma (with WAY MORE extras and updates). Team Ninja are bound to be updating the next Ninja Gaiden, though with the ability of patches on consoles, that may not happen as numerous editions, but I think Ninja Gaiden 2 might have some 'exclusivity' to Xbox 360, but will be issued on the PS3 at a later time IMO.

Amazing line up, MS really have come into the console market in a big way now, the battle looks like it will be between the Wii and the 360, but I think the Wii will sell more because of price but the important thing to the manufactures is the amount of games etc bought as that is where they make their money, and MS has a massive attachment rate per 360 and Xboxlive and its quality also makes a huge profit so I think overall MS will make the most money out of this next gen of consoles and I have no doubt they are already getting ready for the next gen ahead and will have an immensely powerfull backward compatible console the next time round..

there has never been a halo game on a PS.

So....it is more likely for mgs to become multiplatform...then halo.

Remember a few months ago when a blogger heard from a "reputable source at Microsoft" that FFXIII was definately coming to the 360? Now it's a blank page. All this news in this post sounds kind of silly. No news of games already being developed (OF COURSE there would be Halo 3 news). The only reason this sounds half credible is because of how detailed it is. But anyone with a little creativity can write it. But if true then+ new games for my 360!

Well in one interview with the creator of MGS, he did say he wanted to make a MGS game that would use the benefits of Xbox Live, so it's very possible. The Battlefront exclusive isn't surprising either. The only surprise there is Ninja Gaiden 2. Will it be exclusive :/ Hard to say.

Tomonobu Itagaki, head of Tecmo, has mentioned they are working on ninja Gaiden 2 for the 360, the ps3 was never mentioned. And, the person from Team Ninja who is defending the PS3 is the leader of Team Ninja's second team who worked on ninja gaiden for the PS3.

you are all fools. first, it has been confirmed that mgs4 is not going to xbox 180. 1 reason why is that the disc that dead box 180 uses has a space capacity of 9gb and mgs 4 the game as a whole already uses 14gb of space. dream on, blu ray killed the dead box. another thing that you must know is ninja gaiden 2 is coming to ps3. the dead box 180 is dead and this e3 you dead box fan boys will realize when you cant get games like killzone 2 cause it isnt possible on xbox 180 due to hardware specs, other games not possible on xbox 180 is lair, heavenly sword, drakes fortune, white knight, the get away 3 which will have over 500+ people on screen at the same time doing different things and not look alike nor move alike which is only possible cause of the cell chip (Broadband) and rsx chip that is only available in the ps3. do you guys realize that gta4 will be better on ps3 and assasins creed due to the fact that ps3 has a better hardware, disc space and caching on the hdd. Get off the xbox 360 forums, you have no Idea what your talking about.... gta 4 will have dl content on the 360, assassins creed will be the same, xbox 360 has a more powerful video card, they didn't say it was mgs4 it could be mgs1 on XBLA you can fit any game you want for a 360 with in engine cinemas and multiple discs. ninja gaiden sigma is coming to ps3 not ninja gaiden 2, thats an xbox 360 exclusive. games like assassins creed will already have lots of people in the crowd and yes the ps3 can have more people but who cares, its just an oversized, overpowered psp, they couldn't even make a new menu

BTW the chip in the 360 is actually superior to the RSX. Look it up. You really have no clue what you're talking about, but that isn't much of a surprise. You people never do. And it's already been confirmed that GTA IV and Assassin's Creed are identical on both platforms, I don't know where you get that the capacity of blu-ray will benefit the PS3 versions. Just you talking out of your ass again I guess

Nice line up for 360 owners. Some very cool stuff considering it is a rumor and its UNCONFIRMED (sorry for caps). I don't buy the Ninja Gaiden 2 and MGS4 deal though. Considering what Team Ninja has been doing with their support to the PS3 and comments left, I wouldn't go as far to say that NG2 would be exclusive for 360. I do remember reading/hearing that Hideo Kojima is wanting to make a game for the 360 but..... I do remember him saying that it wouldn't be MGS. But who knows, its just a RUMOR (caps again, sorry)

The only questionable things would be battlefront and MGS 4.....and it doesn't say MGS 4, so maybe they are remaking some old MGS for the 360....which is a possibility....or that 4 will only be a timed exclusive for PS3 ?

The thing that people keep forgetting is that Sony does not publish MGS, Sony does not own MGS....MS publishes Halo, MS owns bunjie, which owns Halo....Really the only thing keeping MGS exclusive to PS3 is honor and money.....and if MS is throwing more and more money at konami, and Sony can't keep up...then who knows....

I've read every interview with Itagaki, the HEAD of team ninja, and he is supporting 360 first and foremost for his major projects. Not to say that it could come to PS3 later on, but at first it will be 360....

Hayashi was only allowed to work on Sigma because Itagaki had faith in him, and they were inbetween major projects and could spare the manpower....
