Rumor: Microsoft prepping red Xbox 360 for Resident Evil 5 release

Exclusive: Microsoft to get Resident Evil 5 bundle, red 360s - Image 1Looks like Microsoft is preparing a new Xbox 360 SKU for the release of Resident Evil 5, if Ars Technica's mole is correct.

According to the leak, Microsoft will be releasing a red Xbox 360, bundled with a few other things that will hopefully convince you to buy it. Here's what the bundle will include:
  • Red hardware
  • Red controller
  • A copy of Resident Evil 5
  • Exclusive Resident Evil 5 NXE theme
  • Download coupon for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD
Seems like a rather weak bundle for such an anticipated game. If the red Xbox 360 will have an RE5 image embossed on the faceplate, then that'd make better sense. Either way though, no doubt it's going to keep the cash registers ringing.

It doesn't look that good. Red and green doesn't match. The Elite still has the best color. Or you can get the see through one which isn't an official release but you can get one on Craigslist.

you can order that case QJ used a pic of, but installing it voids your warranty. you can wait till it's out of warranty (3yrs for RRoD, 1yr everything else)...

red and green? those are christmas colors man... however i prefer black as well. my 360 has a replacement green LED fan and the smoke black case which allows you to see the internals when it's running.

Those see-thru cases from XCM really don't look good at all, don't know why people buy that stuff.
