Rumor: Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360? |

Square Enix recently unwrapped details on their new franchise focused on the Final Fantasy series called Fabula Nova Crystallis - Final Fantasy XIII. The 3 titles - FFXIII, FF Versus XIII and FFXIII Agito - are all currently in development, with the first two being already confirmed for a planned release on the Playstation 3.
Due to Square Enix's association with Microsoft (Final Fantasy XI), rumors are now flying that one or more of the 'Fabula' titles could be heading for the Xbox 360 or Xbox Live Arcade. Possible confirmation of this can be found from a quote by Yochi Wada, Square Enix President, who stated "We plan on solidifying our plans by E3 to offer both on the PS3 and Xbox 360, or place both on just one [system]."
Obviously, E3 has now passed, but there is still an anonymous source (that has been right with information before) that say it is still going to happen.
My opinion? Well, it's certainly possible. After all, the franchise is already multi-platform, and the concepts for the Playstation 3 titles have yet to be approved by Sony; thus, no confirmed exclusivity. But my question is, why not confirm this at E3 if it was happening?
In conclusion, you can make sure that regardless of the outcome, QJ will let you know the truth when it surfaces.

FF games tend to be enjoyable, so this is good news for alot of people. I personally only enjoyed 3, 7, and 10, but theres millions of people that disagree, so this would go platinum on day one. This would also kill sony's sales by half, since people only buy playstations for mgs and this, and since dragon quest is on nintendo, this along with the price, would kill sales in N. America and Europe.

That's what I was wondering. Why show all FFXIII material on Sony's conference if they want to make it multi-platform. If you ask me, it's going to be like this:
The main FF series remains on Playstation, however, just like the GC got FF:CC, I think FF versus XIII will be either multiplatform of 360 only (I think multiplatform probably).
This is just me speculating though...
The way that quotes worded is a little wierd, for all we know they may have plans to bring a version of there cell phone game to xbox live. but, then again we don't really know anything, this seems to be a little too speculative.
well it would be an obvious and good move from square to realeas for multiplatforms. the ps3 will be way to expensive at launch and if squar plans to make money they need to tap into the install base the 360 already has and will have more of by its release. i dont see casual gamers or middle class parents to shell out for a ps3 till next year.

So true. We hardly know anything about the game. They've only shown trailers so far, and they haven't even shown the FF versus XIII trailer to the public yet (on E3, behind closed doors...).
But then, it's too early for info anyway. I'm still waiting for FFXII, FFIII (remake) and FFVII:CC. I have enough FF-work as it is...
If this is true I might just end up owning just a X360 and the Wii but the main game I want is MGS4 and that is not coming to the Xbox damnit!
This is great news for me. Since I don't plan on purchasing a PS3, this lets me continue purchasing Final Fantasy based games that are on a system that I plan to get.

Check this article. Step-by-Step of the FFXIII trailer, and it says this at the end of the video "The trailer then ended with a line of text that simply stated, "PlayStation 3 Exclusive."

Just keep dreaming 360 fanboys.Couple of years ago I read a rumour about FF X heading for xbox.And now?Not a single FF games except FF XI.I don`t believe anything until S.Enix said so.
