Rumor: BioShock 2 to be a prequel, released 2009?

Take-Two Interactive already announced that the hit game BioShock (PC and Xbox 360) will have its sequel, but it's already months since that announcement and we haven't heard any details about the planned BioShock 2. But now, we may have a small hint on what to expect from the BioShock sequel.

According to a source of Czech gaming site Hrej, BioShock 2 won't be a sequel in the first place. The game is purported to be already in pre-production phase, and that it is already planned to be released on Summer 2009. If the fact that BioShock 2 is actually a prequel turns out to be true, then we'll certainly have something awesome to look forward to: an in-depth look on how Rapture fell into decline.

since they painted themselves into the corner with the great ending in the first one. Loved this game and can't wait to support the next iteration.
