Table TennisRockstar just announced  that it's new sports title, simply named Table Tennis, is now available! For a MSRP of $39.99 (€39.99 in Europe and £29.99 in the UK) you can enjoy a "a perfectly focused, addictive experience" made by Rockstar's San Diego studio. Featuring 11 realistically animated characters, 15 international arenas and offering Xbox Live support for 8-player tournaments, Table Tennis is an exciting take on a sport underrepresented in games.

The title also includes many customization options, camera angles and last but not least, tons of different moves, techniques and strategies to defeat either an artificial or a human opponent.

Table Tennis has received glowing reviews from E3 visitors, with numerous websites mentioning it as the "Best Sports game at E3". Early reviews come with scores equally enthusiastic - it seems that Table Tennis really is going to be the most successful Rockstar game since GTA.

» err.

i'm really torn about whether to pick this up. first actual review i've found online is from IGN (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/709/709654p1.html), and seems to be pretty honest, especially considering Rockstar gave them the exclusive story when the game was first announced.

'honest' meaning they're up front and disappointed about the fact that there's no career mode, actually not too much depth to speak of (pure gameplay aside). sure screams 'rental' for me right now, even though it's just $40.

Can be had for $30 in many places.

IMO, this game will live and die online. The single player game is not extensive as you will see in the reviews, but the gameplay is solid and the competition will be what makes it interesting.

Think about it - how many hours of ping pong did you really want to play against the AI anyway?

Fast paced fun, all you haters havn't played it or suck at it so bad that you don't like it. 40 is a decent price as well, I'm sure you waste more than that on beer each week.
