Ever felt the need to prove your axe grinding skills along with your favorite tunes? If so, then you're in luck. Xbox Live will host one of the most rock-worthy events ever to grace Microsoft's online gaming community, courtesy of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC) Rock Your Party Weekend event. On February 1 to 3, gamers can have a chance to compete with each other as well as challenge the Neversoft team, the developers behind Guitar Hero III.

If you're interested, just go ahead and download Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock GamerPics via the Xbox Live Marketplace. Prizes up for grabs are MS Points, Guitar Hero III accessories, an Xbox 360 wireless guitar faceplate signed by guitar legend Slash, and the glorious grand prize: the Ultimate Home Gaming Center, which is comprised of an Xbox 360 Elite system, an LG 50-inch 1080p Plasma HDTV and a cool BoomChair Wireless Gaming Chair.
