Rock Band 3 confirmed, coming Holiday 2010

It was only a matter of time, really. MTV Games has announced that Rock Band 3 will be coming this year.

The game is currently tracking a Holiday 2010 release. Electronic Arts will once again be distributing it following a renewal of their distribution contract with Viacom earlier this month.

Details on what the game will bring to the rhythm game genre are still under wraps, but MTV Games says it will "innovate and revolutionize the music genre once again."

maybe they just might make it 5 frets with 6 strings for a total of 30 buttons. Would you like that then. That's how its going to revolutionize the music gaming genre. And also you have to sing at the same time and kick kanye west in the balls if he try to interrupt you so you get the full Taylor Swift experience. Luckily you only have to play like three different chords so even with those 30 buttons and shitload of combinations you only need to learn three chords.

This game will ummm, ROCK but let's be real, with the mountain of instrument packs out, and one more coming for Green Day, does anyone expect the current instruments to be overhauled? Seriously... NO! They may add an instrument but remember unless you have a 42" TV or better, playing for 4 players is very tight so imagine adding a FIFTH. I expect this to bring in ALL of the RB upgrades seen in Beatles Lego, some from Green Day etc. Couple that with a big time sound track and this thing will sell itself anyway. But time will tell, I'll be mad if my guitars are worthless though. I have 2 and 2 drums and 2 mics, I need that to stay compatible
