Robin Burrowes: Xbox Live focusing on family, says Microsoft - Image 1The Xbox Live service is considered to be the secret weapon of Microsoft, especially due to its additional features. Robin Burrowes, Xbox Live's marketing manager for the UK, believes that it'll be the Video Store feature that will draw the mainstream audience this year.

Content found in the Xbox Live Marketplace is slowly growing in terms of movies due to their partnerships with Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Much of this content is focused on the family consumer.

Burrowes said that since the launch of the Video Store in the UK two months ago, "their audience figures have grown dramatically."

With how things are brewing with their services and how well it is being accepted by audiences, Burrowes said that:

The next phase of Xbox Live is all about continuing to extend content opportunities through the right partners and driving the right content that recognises the bulk of our audience is consuming its content in the living room.
