Reach won't be the last for Halo?

A listing of Allen Murray's "Experience" has been unearthed in the treasure trove called the Internet, and suspiciously enough, it looks like he's busy working on an "Unannounced Title". What's so suspicious about that? Oh, nothing. Just that Murray, producer at Bungie Studios, has worked on nothing but the Halo franchise the past four years.

Bungie did say that Reach is "probably" the last for the Halo franchise, but somehow, Murray's listing doesn't give off that vibe. Unless of course he just suddenly plants himself into a whole new project -- which he perfectly could, but honestly, wouldn't be as intriguing and as pleasant a news for the fanboys had the listing really been referring to a new Halo project.

Gamestop's a bunch of con artists, they would have let you preorder it 10 years ago if they were aware of it.. They don't care about your preorder, they just want money.

As for the listing it doesn't mean anything. So now that reach is the last halo this guy is expected to just stop working....? Its very likely its just a new project hes working on that isn't related to halo.

Seriously, who would have guessed? Saying Halo:Reach would be the last Halo is like saying MGS:Rising will be the last MGS.

Where did anybody say Halo Reach is the last Halo game? Bungie said it'll "probably" be the last one they make, not the last one period. That's even what the article this post links to says...

"in terms of Bungie-produced Halo games, ODST and then Reach is probably all you're going to get."

Key words there are Bungie-produced. If Reach is the last one they make (big if) MS will make 20 more after that.

Seriously though I'd like them to wrap it up with one more game focusing on the chief and Courtana being found on that big metal planet (could it be what's left of Onyx) at the end of the legendary credits.

I wouldn't expect it until 2012 though... :(

They have to let go, the games aren't getting any better Halo : ODST was the same as 3 with weaker armor in my opinion. Its better if they just leave it at where it is or they'll end up making a cheesy ending like he dies in some explosion or he gives up and gets killed, at least this way its up to the gamer how the story ends. Like Metal Gear Solid it ends with nobody knowing what really happens to Snake but we know he's going to die soon so we can all make up our own ending.

In terms of single player, IMO ODST is a better game than Halo 3, and a much better game than Halo 2. And Halo 3 is a better game than Halo 2. So they are getting better, but I doubt they'll ever make something as good as Halo CE again.

I think I'd prefer if Reach were the last Halo game and just leave it at that, but with the ending Halo 3 had you know they'll make a sequel.

And don't tell me you really don't think they'll make another MGS (set after MGS4) lol. Same thing as with Halo, Kojima said he personally won't make a sequel to 4, doesn't mean no one will. He doesn't own Metal Gear

Actually Bungie is forced to make Halo games because Microsoft owns them.

You know how many times Bungie has promised its fans, no more Halo games? Bungie told there fans that they would stop making Halo games after Halo 2, then Halo 3 came out, they said they would stop making Halo games after that, then Halo 3ODST came out, and then they announced Reach.

They have said that tons and tons of times and we still see them making Halo games, there as bad as Kojima with his MGS series, he promised MGS2 would be the last, then he said MGS3 would be the last, then MGS4, and now he says PW will be his last MGS, yeah right.

Aslong as Halo and MGS sells, they will always be forced to make more and more games. Oh and MS owns Bungie, even if someone tried to buy Bungie back, MS can always force Bungie to come back and make more Halo games.

Sad thing about it is, that MS has too much money to the point, where it makes other game companies look like jokes to them.
