Rare has released a bunch of images from the XBLA remake of Perfect Dark. I gotta say, it looks like 4J Studios has done a good job of polishing up the game for it HD outing.

Just to drive the point home, Rare's also released these comparison screenshots. The original's on the left, while the HD remake is on the right.

Perfect Dark should be out on the Marketplace this winter. You can check out more screenshots at the source link.

It's honestly... prob my most anticipated 360 game for the foreseeable future (right next to MassEffect2).

Tho... I'm thinking the "HD-ize" work wasn't too difficult... I've played the original game through an emulator with the resolution jacked up to something like 1680x1050 and it's honestly comparable to this... granted the textures weren't as sharp in some places... cuz they weren't made for that resolution, but it's a lot more similar than you'd think.

» Very nice!

I envy you guys with 360's, I would love to get a HD-ized PD on the Wii or PS3, but obviously that isn't going to happen given that Rare is with MS. My only gripe is that the numbers for the ammo count is some crappy text instead of the cool futuristic text in the real game. I bet it's just a placeholder though.
