For the guys who own a copy of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas for their Xbox 360, we've got good news and bad news. The good news: Ubisoft has just released the game's Black Edition Player's Pack. Much like the Red Edition Pack that came before it, Black will feature new goodies that should keep you up and alert for the next few Xbox Live shootouts.As for the bad news: We've just picked up word via Major Nelson that the aforementioned Black Edition pack has pulled off a Sam Fisher - that is - stealthily vanished from the XBL download list without a trace. There hasn't been any official word on why this happened, although we advise the readers to keep alert in case news on this matter is made known.
Included in Black are 5 new maps; 3 brand-new maps (Red Lotus, Wartown), a redux of Streets, and Presidio from Rainbow Six 3. The download would have cost you about 705.5 MB of HD space, and 800 MS Points.

I think I'm willing to fork over £5 for some extra maps on my 6 month old game, wait that'd be foolish, let me just pop out and pay twice as much for the console and wait ages to get the game, haha, losers with thier 360's and their same games!

Yup, they probably removed it because of the VERY SAME REASON, that the PS3 version has it free.
I've had a 2nd gen 360 since March of 06 with absolutely no problems until downloading the After Black Map pack for two days, Then I got the red lights of death. I think it may have only corrupted my HardDrive as I tested the xbox with out the HD and it seems ok, but I haven't had a lot of time to try it. It did definaltly keep locking up with the HD in. The disc was also extremely hot.
i really dont care about this debate but the ps3 has ALL the mapsof the 360 version including the downloaded maps.
the maps are coming out tonight at 3 AM PT FOR FREE! as a gift from UBI to the loyal RB6 vegas fans
PS3 fanboys don't have anything to say now, both map packs are going to be free now.
Sorry ps3 fanboys, you overpaid for a console, thought you got a little extra over the 360 owners, only to be ***** on Ubisoft.

rainbow six is way more fun on the xbox because the whole /=ucking xbox live community has it. i would not wanna play on the ps3 with a few people online. specially cause ch:nks play ps3./=uck asians
PS3 is gay, its has the most garbage online play ever, it will NEVER become half as fun as Xbox Live is.
