PSU open beta on October 11 for Xbox 360 |

You may not want to pay for it, but at least you can try playing it for a little while. Phantasy Star Universe will be up for an open beta and download through Xbox Live starting October 11.
It's not going to be the whole game just yet, but if you've got the power to play it, you might as well take the opportunity, right? In this case, you'll need an Xbox Live Gold account to play the game. After downloading, you can play immediately, meaning that you can worry about signing up for the game on Sega's website later on. Enjoy the experience in the meantime.
Sega's also suggested you try out some of the features below:
- Create Your Character - Construct the perfect avatar with the robust Character Creation tool that enables players to change their character's body shape and dimensions, hairstyle and color, facial structure and features, and more.
- Meet New People - Head out to the lobby and meet new people. Visit various shops for weapons, clothing and other items and then join or create a squad to embark on missions with new friends.
- Explore the Universe - With three expansive planets to explore, discover the adventures that lie ahead on Parum, Neudaiz, and Moatoob.
- My Room - Create your personal online space by adding items and elements from your adventures, and decorating your My Room with various themes and wallpaper. In here, your Partner Machinery is able to create new weapons and items for you to use in battle, trade with friends, or sell for a profit. Players can also exchange Partner Cards and visit friends in their My Room.
- Customize Your Look - Head to one of the various Clothing or Parts shops located across the Universe and outfit your character with the newest styles.
- Try Different Job Types - Speak to the Guardian Representative located on the fifth floor of the Guardian's Colony to freely change between the three class types: Hunter, Ranger, and Force.
- Create and Sell Items - Craft items from the base materials you find during your adventures using your Partner Machinery. You can even sell these items within player-run Shops.

This is going to be pretty cool to play and most likely will end up with a cult following (already has one but meh). I hope more games like this do reach the xbox360 because I for one will agleast try it to give it a chance.
Ya I loved PSO on the gamecube. Xbox 360 needs good rpgs/mmorpg and games like this. Xbox360 has way too many fps imo I prefer fps games on my pc.
PSU is better then pso by far, but they haven't fixed how shallow the adventure is.

I hate that it was postponed but I think it's a good idea to have people try it out online before release. Maybe other companies will follow suit. It's only $10/mo for online play.
I'm glad there are finally some other rpg types coming out. The 360 is going to need more since the PS is famous for having plenty. This is coming out a week before FF XII and .hack GU.
