The Standard Edition one looks awesome, better than the Microsoft watermark one in my opinion. The Limited looks cool as well
same for assassin's creed... 1discs, same for blue dragon, 2discs... Man every new x360 game use 2 f*-** discs, that's lame. In GTA4 you're racing against time, cops after you, and when you cange city it says: "change disc" yeah right! No I suppose it's like, in the middle of the game, now put the second disc, and then everything work fine... at least I hope.
And anyway, halo 3 looked really bad compared to what I had thought, so 1 disc is maybe the reason since the x360 is more powerfull then that...
Duuhhh its called FMV, sadly some people want to watch pointless FMV sections(may as well buy a film if you want that *****),but at least you wont be subjected to hours of FMV and not much game which it looks like what is going to happen on the PS3.........
Oh and Halo 3 will outsell every other game ever made just wait and see and if its true MS are going to drop the Premium to $199 its over for the PS3.
When it is a two disc game it is for the missions in other words when you get to a certain level in the game after many hours you will then use disc 2 instead of disc 1 every time you play,just like Blue dragon you play the game and when after many hours/days of play instead of loading disc 1 you now use disc 2.
So 2 discs make NO difference to 1 disc do you see?.

In a world where we can turn our consoles on without getting up and just play without leaving the couch, getting up to change a disc can be a big deal. Especially if its not a linear storyline like an RPG. It's not a big deal to some who just curse out other people and think they arent entitled to their opinion. However, if Microsoft DID release later with hd-dvd or bluray built in and used for games, they would have more space to work with. FACT wether you think the space is needed or not, it would still be there

"in a world where we dont even have to leave our couch" dude put down the potato chips and walk 10 feet to your console to put in the 2nd disc. its not like your going to be in the middle of a firefight and its going to pop up out of nowhere. its going to be like, youve just beat level 20, insert second disc. youre going to have to do it once for every few days of playing, its really not that hard

I own all 4 platforms: high-end PC, X360, PS3, and Wii. I also have numerous older generation’s consoles, too. I only AND ONLY support best (triple-A) consoles and games. I am a huge supporter of X360 and PS3 consoles (Wii is garbage). I am a huge supporter of Gears of War, Oblivion (X360 version), Call of Duty 3 (X360), Forza, and MotorStorm (Halo 3 and Resistance are garbage). In conclusion, if it’s not the best than those consoles and games are garbage from my point of view.
- There’re more than 200 games which are better made, superior, more advanced, and more fun to play than Halo 3. That’s the reason why Halo 3 is trash.

I stopped reading once you said you are a huge supporter of Call of Duty 3 and then called Halo 3 and Resistance garbage. You've got to be joking. I don't even own a PS3 (but will within a year however) and just off looks Resistance looks better than Call of Duty 3 by far. And after racking up almost 200 games in the Halo 3 Beta, I can comfortably say that Call of Duty 3 comes nowhere near it.
In fact, the way that "fact list" should've been, is instead of listing 200 games that are better than Halo 3 and Resistance (seriously, you care so much about this you'd list 200 games which prove nothing besides your worthless opinion? at least the ps3 version of gta4 shouldnt have 2 discs that 50 gig bluray disc will actually start to come in handy

To every person that says that these packaging is awesome, do yourself a favor and get eye laser surgery, bungie should ask for some help with some japanese artist for the box packaging they do some freaking good images, at least the limited edition looks acceptable it looks like halo2, man surely bungie haves a lot of imagination, i have very bad feeling that Halo3 is going to be pure crap!.

Somehow getting up off their lazy backsides to change a disc after several hours gameplay is too much for them (and yet getting up and changing a DVD after 2 hours into a long movie, probably a special addition, it no problem).
It wouldn't be a problem in Halo 3, but I doubt that will be the case anyway. The most sensible opinion I've read regarding this is that the single player game is ALL on disc 1, and the multiplayer game with all the maps is on disc 2.

Anyway, I think the packaging looks great and it certainly doesn't need an influence from Japanese artistist or anyone else. If you don't like it fine, but stop acting as if YOU know what's best for Halo 3.
Personally, I couldn't care less it the game was presented in a brown paper bag, because once the disc is loaded into the 360, who the f*** cares about the packaging.

i kinda agree with dude.exe...the standard etition boxart is kinda lame...its just too plain...if they stayed with the origional that picture of him standing infront of that chazm with the forunner artifact that would have been much better...
As ps34me says way above, it's probably the single player game on disc one, and the multiplayer game on disc two.
i think it may be one disk for campaign and one for mp that would make sense to me or maybe the leves are so huge that halfway through the story you have to start using the second disk i dont think they would cut up the action like gta might
No, its both in one disk. Do you think Bungie is stupid? No way are they going to have the single player and the online mode in 2 different disks.
I'm a huge 360 fan, and I hate Call of Duty 3. The single player was fun one time through, there is no reward for beating Veteran (besides a 150 point achievement), and the multiplayer is only good for team killing. Call of Duty 2 never gets old, Veteran is hard but fun, and the multiplayer is actually fun to play. Probably why I have it for PC and 360
