TGS 2006No, we're not saying that the game has incorporated a shaky-cam style ala Battlestar Galactica, we're saying that we found a shakily-shot handheld-cam off-screen footage of MistWalker's Lost Odyssey preview video during the Pre TGS Conference.

If you take the time to analyze the preview instead of drool over the pretty pretty graphics, you'd start to wonder. Turn based Dynasty Warriors? I'm not trying to insult Dynasty Warriors, or even this cool cool game (which I now want to own by the way), it's just that the prospect of having just one character to control in the middle of what looks like a full scale war is a bit daunting.

Despite the mind-boggling prospect of waging a turnbased war with just one character, amazingly, if the video proves true, the pace of the game doesn't slow down one bit. A few minutes into the thing and mini-bosses in the form of tanks come in. Perhaps that whole sequence runs like a mini-Tutorial, ala opening sequence of PS1's Vagrant Story?

Regardless, if a three-four minute shaky cam video of the thing can make you speculate this much, then the game has got to be something to watch out for right? And from the looks of things, it's well on its way to being something a lot more than just plain old "good."

Check out the video yourselves. Enjoy.
