Damn right! Who else is going to pimp your ride out but Xzibit and West Coast Customs, right? As of today, that's wrong. Hop on your couch, turn on that 360, and get ready for a chance to pimp out your very own rides. Activision and Eutechnyx are coming out with an Xbox 360 version of Pimp My Ride for the Christmas season.
In the game, you're working to help out Xzibit, lacking his West Coast Customs crew, to turn the most hideous cars into brand new, bling-filled pieces of machinery. Each mission, which you can easily call an episode, features a new car and a new challenge, bringing elements of strategy and racing at the same time. In this case, you've got to figure out what would make each new car owner happy, and work on tuning up the car to impress them.
Here's the strategy and driving combination. Instead of having one crew doing all the retrofitting and alterations for each car, you'll have to go to different shops within the fictional city you're driving in. It's a race against the clock, so finding the best routes to make the best car for each mission is a must. Not only that, but a rival shop wants to capitalize on Pimp My Ride's popularity by getting a similar car and hooking it up with some goodies as well, and they're not one to skimp on trying to wreck the bucket you're in to do so. Sounds like a challenge you can get into.
Speaking of sounds, Xzibit will be lending both his likeness and music to the game. Expect cuts from his latest album to make an appearance in the game's music, as well as actual voiceovers from the man himself. Whether or not you like the show, this looks to be a pretty interesting way to combine driving, customizing, and the Demolition Derby into one sweet game. Enjoy!
