Peter Molyneux wants quality over quantity in Fable 2 |

Some RPGs offer an overwhelming array of spells and skills, but the massive Xbox hit's sequel won't be needing hundreds of strangely named magic. According to legendary game designer and programmer Peter Molyneux, Lionhead's Fable 2 will favor quality over quantity.By the looks of it, Fable 2 won't be going off track even with the introduction of one-button combat. Molyneux, the game's design director, promises to "refine and hone the core features."
It may be pretty difficult for some to imagine how playing an action RPG with only a single button for attacks can be any good if they haven't seen it in motion, but combat will definitely be tight.
"We could have thrown in 100's of different spells, moves and effects but I now realise it's better to have fewer really good spells and moves which really work. In other words quality rather than quantity," said Molyneux.
All signs point to less magical jargon and more dynamic combat. That doesn't stop there, because there's more to Fable 2 than anyone can ever hope to expect. Molyneux assures that fact, saying, "Lionhead is as committed as ever to being innovative and creative and that means being ambitious. I want to make a truly great landmark game and we have talent and resources to attain this."
