Pro Evolution Soccer 6After shipping three million copies of Pro Evolution Soccer 6 all across Europe, Konami is now getting ready for another big release, albeit of a different kind.

The Japanese software house has recently announced that they will be coming out with a patch for PES 6. This patch should address the lag and matchmaking issues that plagued early adopters on Xbox Live. Konami says that the patch will be available soon, but we don't have an accurate timetable for the release just yet.

Anyway, kudos to Konami for moving fast to correct these issues (although it would have been way better if the game didn't have these issues from the get-go). Here's hoping that the patch does what it's meant to do and that it drops soon so gamers can go back to doing what they bought the game to do: score some kickass goals.

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will also be released for the PSP in December and the Nintendo DS in January.

Well this was 9 days ago, any updates?

It should at least have teh same functions as the PS2 version (Edit, 8 player online, etc) - especially as we paid a premium for last gen game with all the good bits cut out

» Rip Off

Despite the fantastic game play, buying the game for the 360 is a complete rip off.

No edit mode, only 8 stadiums, no international challenge and no memorial matches.

Has Konami offered any explanation why we have to pay £49.99 for far less than on the PS2 version?

» edit mode

konami this year has disappointed everybody by not including features like edit mode, save replay and not improving the visuals: I am very pissed off!! I was thinking... why don't they re-introduce edit mode...but here is the catch...why don't they allow us also to create and edit our own stadiums...i'm sure it's not as complicated as it may seem...I am just so pissed off that they only re-designed 8 appalling stadiums...most of them don't even look like the real thing!!!! STADIUMS ARE IMPORTANT!!!!

» Edit mode stuffup

I think the game play is awesome for the 360 version...better than 5 by quite a bit.

The pathetic editing features are CRAP. As a Liverpool nut, who wants to play as Merseyside Red?!?

Unfortunately, I think the patch will only address the online issues. Will suck HEAPS, but hoping I'm wrong. Go on Konami, prove me wrong!!!

» Why Oh Why?!?!?!?

Just speaking to Konami UK & they have said that there should be a press release of some sort from the guys at Konami HQ as to why they have left out so much features that are on the PS2 & PC versions & not on the 360. Hopefuly they will update this, as i also dont think its fair that a next gen console game should lack in features compared to a old console & the game costs more. There is so much more they could of put into it, but to me it just seems like they could not be arsed with the 360 version. Maybe due to the fact that MAYBE more people still have a PS2 & made that better? But PLEASE PLEASE Konami, please use the 360 to its true potential!
