PC Dongles for your X360 controller

Brian Crecente of Kotaku is apparently quite amused with what Microsoft has sent him. Along with the retail version of Vista, they also sent him a PC dongle that allows you to connect your wireless Xbox 360 controllers to your computer.

It would be remembered that this product's been announced almost a year ago. For some reason, we haven't heard much about it. The last time we checked, it wouldn't come out until next month. Let's hope it does finally see the light or market the next few weeks. It certainly makes one wish that a PC version of Gears would arrive posthaste.

I ran a wired controller on my system to try it out and was little impressed. It is great for emulation however I found it impossible to utilize both analog sticks for move/sight while playing GTA San Andreas, possibly all games of this type. I could not get it to work properly with the Xbox controller, however I was able to utilize my existing dual analog controller. I believe it was the software issued by microsoft that caused the problems for me.

Well, this is part of the whole idea Microsoft has for Vista, Xbox 360 and all it's products in general. They want everything to work with everything, and hopefully they will pull it off, I'd really like to have things like a constant friends list, and have my Live service cross to my PC completely.

I'll prolly get this adapter later when I get a wireless 360 headset cause I'd want to use it with my pc also. I already use my Live Vision cam with my PC all the time, and that thing is just great, plug in and use it instantly, great quality etc etc.
