PAX 2007: new Halo 3 map "Guardian" |

Two maps were showcased for Halo 3 at the Penny Arcade Expo just as it was winding down. Readers may already be familiar with the Bridge map "Narrows" which we covered before. The second map, "Guardian," has also been known for a while now but new details have come up which may interest you.
"Guardian" is described as the "'spiritual successor' to the classic Lockout map from Halo 2". But while the original was set in snowy white plains, this time Guardian is set in an earthier atmosphere within the jungle.
The guys at TeamXBox, who was fortunate enough to be there, also believe that it was probably a special kind of map because contained a number of the game's super weapons, including the flamethrower and the Brute Hammer. And to top it off the map that was played was titled "Omeguardian."
Experience "Narrows" and "Guardian" for yourselves when Halo 3 comes out on September 25.
