Pachter predicts Xbox 360 Slim + Natal bundle for US$ 299 |

Wedbush Morgan's resident gaming guru Michael Pachter has been gazing into his crystal ball again and predicts Microsoft to release an attractive hardware bundle before the holidays that will consist of the highly rumored Xbox 360 slim with 250 GB hard drive and Project Natal.
At a minimum, we anticipate the introduction of a more feature-packed Xbox 360 as the standard SKU in late 2010 (likely with a 250Gb hard drive) at the same US$ 299 price point, and think that Microsoft will cut price before the fall only if it begins to lose significant market share to Sony.
It is far more likely that we will see a slim version of the Xbox 360 with a 250Gb hard drive and with Project Natal bundled into the box while maintaining the US$ 299 price point, especially if Sony does not lower the price of the PS3 by the time Natal and Sony’s Move controllers launch in the fall.
Now this could be a little bit interesting, let's just hope Pachter's reading is right on the ball.

Still, it may still be too much for the average person who already has a wii.
Looking at MS and how they price their add-on (ie. way overpriced) The Natal will probably be $200 stand alone, meaning people with a 360 already get ripped off.
It will probably also take 8 rechargeable batteries, not included, or buy the $75 natal play and charge kit....
Those my pachter predictions for the day...

But wasn't Pachter the guy who predicted the ps3 would outsell the Wii/360 by the end of 09?

I think we'll likely see a Slim+Natal bundle for $299 but it will either be packaged with a smaller hdd than 250GB. If the Natal can function without a hard drive, then we'll more than likely see the Arcade being bundled with Natal for $299. If it does need an hdd then it would probably be a 100-120GB for $299 and the 250GB would be $399.
