Pachter: Halo to reach 3 million sales mark in 12 days |
Ó
Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter predicted a remarkably high sales number for Bungie's Halo 3: three million copies sold in twelve days. While three million really isn't a surprise, taking into account that Halo 3 is a widely anticipated and popular title, the allotted twelve-day time bracket is rather specific. Halo 3 is also expected to push Xbox 360 console sales upwards, even exceeding 400,000 units in September. And that's before the holidays.
This Halo 3 prediction was mentioned alongside Pachter's other statements regarding the US$ 99 PS2, as well as the new 40GB PS3 SKU. Things are clearly going to get interesting these coming months, so stay tuned in here at QJ for the latest updates!

So if it's gonna sell 3 million copies. I wonder how many 360's will RROD after that. 1 Million?
Just wait and see. The boards will be flooded with angry halo fans and xbots when their beloved POS dies on them.
I'm on my 4th 360 already and I'm sure Halo 3 will kill this one too.
I wouldn't say "flooded" but I think there will be some. I honestly dont care if Halo breaks my 360 as long as I have a working one before Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, and many of the other great games come out.
I just ask you. Why are we even dealing with this sort of thing? When did it become acceptable to have faulty hardware on the market?
What if they were tires? If they cam with a 3 year warranty and typically died out in under 6 months then would we be singing the same tune?
I'm sure that's a bit overboard but this whole 360 fiasco is pissing me off when my system is just doing laps between my house and the warehouse. It's spinning me in circles!
never had a problem with my lanch 360. also we have 360's because it has the best game lineup to date.
sounds like you are some unlucky SOBs...
my brother's 360 hasn't died on him yet... but he's only ahd it for about 7 months.
my PS3 will never die on me XD (maybe)
It will be interesting how this coming months plays out for all three of these companies.
ever heard of the ps2?
