They've said it before, and they don't seem to have a problem saying it over and over again. Halo: Reach is the best Halo game ever made, and it's most probably the most powerful title Bungie's ever made yet. This time though, Bungie's got The Official Xbox Magazine concurring with them.
Lucky OXM was able to preview the game, after which they published some of their impressions of it. "The screenshots look unmistakably like the game we've been playing for the past nine years running," they wrote. "But with all of the smart refinements Bungie has so far revealed for its Halo swan song." The conclusion for their preview: "Reach may be the best game it's ever released."
Marcus Lehto, Halo: Reach game director, also harps on the game as being the most powerful in the franchise. "Reach is probably the most powerful title we've built to date with regards to story, character, new gameplay features we're thowing at the player, and new experiences overall."

I mean, I would understand if they played the alpha, but they're just talking about screenshots.

I doubt OXM is going to say "Well Halo reach is OK, but we think Halo 3 was better, so maybe think twice about pre-ordering" yeah right...
